My cat is a polydactyl, which means he has extra toes.
The extra toes on his front feet look like thumbs. He has normal dew claws in addition to these extra toes (between the thumb and the first toe). Unfortunately he can't move these toes, though I have heard of cats who can use them as semi-opposable digits to hold things!
His back feet also have an extra toe each, making five (normally four). This is a normal toe beside the others.
He isn't very good at climbing trees, though he does catch things, and he does great skids on the lino when turning corners.
